Detail tour itinerary: Leh - Sham Valley - Nubra - Turtuk - Pangong - Leh
Day 1 – (05th Sept 2026): Guwahati - Leh
Early morning, assemble at Guwahati Airport 3 hrs. before flight departure time, board in flight as per flight schedule. On arrival at Leh airport & transfer to the hotel. Check-In at Hotel. It is advised to spend the rest of the day at leisure to acclimatize the high altitude. A relaxed day exploring Market visit and sufficient rest to adjust to the oxygen level. Dinner & overnight stay at hotel in Leh.
Note: There is a strict, highly recommended "rule" to rest on Day 1 in Leh to avoid severe Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS). You must acclimatize for at least 24 to 48 hours, avoiding physical exertion, heavy meals, alcohol, and smoking. This allows your body to adjust to the low oxygen levels at 11,500 ft altitude.
Day 02 – (06th Sept 2026): Leh-Sham Valley-Leh (Approx. 80km/ 02 hrs. one way)
After breakfast, proceed for Sightseeing on the Leh- Srinagar Highway. Visit Shanti Stupa and Leh Palace. Later Visit the Hall of Fame (A Museum developed by the Indian Army), Gurudwara Patthar Sahib (A Gurudwara constructed and maintained by the Indian Army) confluence of holy Indus and Zanskar. Later proceed to Alchi Monastery. While returning experience the effects of Magnetic Hill (Defiance of the law of gravity wherein a vehicle starts climbing up the hill whenput in a neutral position). Return to Leh. Dinner & overnight stay at hotel in Leh.
Day 03 – (07th Sept 2026): Leh -Nubra via Kardungla pass
After breakfast, drive to Nubra Valley (Known as the Valley of Flowers and the warmest region in Ladakh) via Khardungla pass. Check-in to the camp/hotel. After lunch Visit to Dikshit and Hunder Villages, monasteries to take a stroll around the place to see the lifestyle of people living at the northern most region of India. Enjoy camel Safari (OPTIONAL– ON OWN ARRANGEMENT) in the evening. Dinner & overnight stay in Nubra Valley.
Day 4 – (08th Sept 2026): Nubra–Turtuk–Nubra
Post breakfast drive to Turtuk (A village that was won by India in the 1971 war with Pakistan). On the way, visit to Siachen War Memorial, Thang Zero Point. Lunch at Turtuk Village. After Lunch, explore Turtuk valley (It was once used to carry the trade material on silk route). The culture of this village is entirely different than what you would have seen so far in Ladakh. The people here are of Balti heritage and mostly Muslims. Visit Balti heritage house and museum and natural cold storage (freeze point). Return back to Nubra. Overnight stay at Nubra Vally.
Day 5 – (09th Sept 2026): Nubra Valley-Pangong
After an early breakfast, proceed to Pangong. On arrival check-in to Camp. Visit Pangong Lake. Pangong Lake is a salt water body of 120 km in length and 6 – 7 Km broad at the longest point. It is bisected by the international border between India & China (2/3 of the lake is in China’s possession). Visit the exact location of the famous movie “Three idiots” & enjoy outing along the banks of the lake. One really feels very close to nature at Pangong Lake with its scenic surroundings. On a clear sunny day, you can see seven colour formations in the crystal-clear saltwater lake. Dinner and Overnight stay in Pangong.
Day 6 – (10th Sept 2026): Pangong – Leh via Changla
In the early morning, enjoy the picturesque view of Sunrise on the lake. After Breakfast, drive back to Leh, en route visit Thiksey Monastery and Shey Palace (On the way stop at Changla pass) and Rancho’s School (Drunk Padma Karpo School or Drunk White Lotus School) which is also known as 3 Idiot School, is a Buddhist cultural school located in Shey Village. On arrival check in at hotel. Evening free time to explore the market. Dinner and Overnight stay in Leh Hotel.
Day 7 – (11th Sept 2026): Leh Airport Drop
After breakfast check out from hotel and transfer the guests to Leh- Airport. Board the flight from Leh Airport as per flight schedule. Arrive Guwahati in the evening. Tour ends.
