Booking and Payment Issues
My Payment got debited but ticket not booked.
In case of payment success but ticket not booked please check your transaction status at Transaction History. You will be able to see Payment Status and Booking Status for all of your past transactions with us.
If Payment Status is "SUCCESS", You will be able to continue your booking if there is "Continue Booking" button. If you are not able to see "Continue Booking" button, the booking will be automatically marked as "FAILED" and refund will be initiated.
If Payment Status is "PENDING", We'll retry to check payment status, please recheck the transaction details after 20 minutes for updated payment status.
If Payment Status is "FAILED", We've not received payment for your transaction. If your account is debited, it'll be refunded by your bank within 2-5 working days. Please contact your bank for more details.
I don't want to continue booking and want refund.

How to know Refund Status of Failed Transactions?

If Payment Status is "SUCCESS" and Booking Status is "FAILED", a refund will be initiated automatically within 24 hours for all such transactions. When the refund is initiated by our system, a notification email is sent to the email id provided at the time of booking. The status of refund is also updated in the transaction details itself which can be viewed from Transaction History. It usually takes 2-5 working days for the refund to reflect back into your account/card depending upon your bank.
Train Booking Modification, Cancellation and TDR
Want To Change My Boarding Point.
Open My Bookings Page.
Open your booking and click on "Change Boarding Station".
Choose your new boarding station and click on "Confirm/Submit".
Please note, boarding station can only be changed once and if chart is not prepared.
Want to change Age/Gender/Name in the E-Ticket.
Details like Age / Gender / Name cannot be changed online, and hence utmost care should be given at the time of entering such information during booking.
However, this information can be modified offline by railway reservation office. Passenger can approach the nearest Railway station/Railway Reservation Office with ‘E-Ticket’ print out and photo identity proof in original of one of the passengers traveling in the ticket at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure of train as per extant Indian Railway rule.
How to Cancel E-ticket Fully or Partially?
Open My Bookings Page.
Open your booking and click on "Cancel Ticket".
Select the passengers you want to cancel and click on "Confirm/Submit" button.
Please note, "Cancel Ticket" button will only be visible when ticket is in allowed time limit of Cancellation as per railway rules and chart is not prepared.

If you are unable to cancel your ticket due to "Chart Prepared", you can file TDR with a valid reason.
Chart Prepared - Unable to Cancel My Ticket.
After preparation of chart, you cannot cancel an e-ticket. However, if you are not planning to travel on your ticket, you can file a TDR online, wherein you will be refunded up to 50% of the fare*, if it is not a Tatkal ticket.
*Actual refund may vary and determined by concerned railway zone on case-to-case basis.
Chart Prepared - Don't want to travel as some of the passengers are in RAC / WL.
E-tickets cannot be cancelled after chart preparation. Users are requested to use the online TDR filing for such cases and track Status of the refund case through tracking service provided by IRCTC. TDR can be filed as per Railway rules.
- No refund of fare shall be admissible on RAC e-tickets is the case the ticket is not canceled, or TDR not filed online up to thirty minutes before the scheduled departure of the train.
- In case, on a party e-ticket or a family e-ticket issued for travel of more than one passenger, some passengers have confirmed reservation and others are on RAC or waiting list, full refund of fare, less clerkage, shall be admissible for confirmed passengers also subject to the condition that the ticket shall be canceled online or online TDR shall be filed for all the passengers up to thirty minutes before the scheduled departure of the train.
Will I get a refund on cancellation?
Tripozo provides INSTANT REFUND on IRCTC train tickets cancellations. Refund instructions are immediately sent to bank upon ticket cancellation by user and amount shall be automatically credited to the user’s account used at the time of booking. What is TDR and when/how can I file IRCTC TDR?
TDR means ticket deposit receipt. Passenger who has confirmed ticket and have not travelled can file TDR online within prescribed time limit. IRCTC and Tripozo provides facility to file TDR online. If chart is not prepared user can cancel their tickets online, however after chart preparation TDR need to be filed for refund.

Open your booking, and click on "File TDR".
Select the passengers and reason for filing TDR and click on "Confirm/Submit" button.

When will I get a refund on TDR?
- The TDR refunds are processed as per Extant Railway Rules by concerned railway zones. In most of the cases, TDR must be filed before or within 1 hour of the Departure of Train.
- Kindly note that TDR cases are automatically forwarded to Zonal Railway for further processing of refund. TDR’s filed are directly dealt by the concerned Zonal Railway for decision. As soon as refund, if any, received it will be credited to the User’s account through same payment method which was used while booking.
- The timeline for processing of TDR cases by the concerned Zonal Railway are not fixed. However, We have observed that 99% of the TDR cases are disposed with 2-4 weeks of filling.
