Key Attractions

1. Dwarka – Dwarkadhish Temple
Located on the banks of the Gomti Creek in Gujarat, the Dwarkadhish Temple (also known as Jagat Mandir) is dedicated to Lord Krishna, worshipped here as Dwarkadhish or the "King of Dwarka."

2. Bet Dwarka
Situated about 30 km from Dwarka town, Bet Dwarka (also known as Shankhodar) is an island at the mouth of the Gulf of Kutch, just 3 km from Okha coast. Believed to be the residence of Lord Krishna during his reign, it is also the site where he met his childhood friend Sudama. Mentioned in the Skanda Purana and Mahabharata, the island houses many temples including Dwarkadhish Temple, Keshav Ji Temple, Hanuman Dandi, and Mahaprabhu Bethak.

3. Rukmini Devi Temple, Dwarka
Located 2 km from Dwarka city, this temple is dedicated to Goddess Rukmini, consort of Lord Krishna. As per legend, Sage Durvasha cursed Rukmini to live separately from Krishna for drinking water without his permission during a journey, which explains the temple’s distance from the Jagat Mandir.

4. Nageshwar Jyotirlinga
One of the 12 sacred Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva, located near Dwarka. According to legend, Lord Shiva manifested here to protect his devotee Supriya from the demon Daaruka. The self-manifested Shivalinga is worshipped to this day.

5. Somnath Jyotirlinga
Situated on the western coast at the confluence of the Kapila, Hiran, and Saraswati rivers with the Arabian Sea, Somnath is the first among the twelve Jyotirlingas. Believed to be in existence since ancient times (649 BC and earlier), the temple was reconstructed in its present form in 1951.

6. Bhalka Tirtha (near Somnath)
Located about 3 km from Somnath temple, this sacred site marks the place where Lord Krishna was struck by an arrow of the hunter Jara, mistaking him for a deer. It is believed that Krishna left for his heavenly abode (Shri Krishna Neejdham Prasthan Leela) from here, with his cremation said to have taken place at Dehotsarga, near Triveni Ghat.

7. Diu Fort
Built between 1535 and 1541 AD, the massive Diu Fort is surrounded by the Arabian Sea on three sides. With its imposing lighthouse and creatively illuminated structure, the fort offers spectacular views, especially at night.

8. Gir National Park
Spread across 1,412 sq. km between Veraval and Junagadh, Gir is the last natural habitat of the Asiatic lion (Panthera leo persica). Apart from lions, the sanctuary is home to leopards, antelopes, and a rich variety of bird species, making it a prime destination for wildlife enthusiasts.
