IRCTC is coming up with Air Tour Package to Gujarat. In the eight days tour itinerary we'll cover the most important religious sites of the State of Gujarat. In addition we take you to the Gir National Park - the only place in Asia where one can sight the Asiatic Lion. The main highlights of the Tour are detailed below:

  •  Dwarkadhish Temple: The Dwarkadhish temple located at Dwarka on Gomti creek, Gujarat. The Dwarkadhish temple, also known as the Jagat Mandir also spelled Dwarakadheesh, is dedicated to the god Krishna, who is worshiped here by the name Dwarkadhish, or 'King of Dwarka'
  • Bet Dwarka – Dwarka - One of The Panch Dwarka Temple in Gujarat or a pilgrimage to the 5 abodes of Lord Krishna Situated around 30 km from the main town of Dwarka, Beyt Island  Bet Dwarka is also known as Shankhodar which is a moderately populated island lying in the mouth of Gulf of Kutch that is 3 km away from the Okha coast of Gujarat. . It is believed to be the home of Lord Krishna when he was the king of Dwarka. It was here where Lord Krishna exchanged the bags of rice with his friend Sudama - as the story goes.
  • Rukmani Devi Temple Dwarka - Rukmini Temple is dedicated to Idol Rukmini, Rukmini Temple. Dwarka is located at a distance of 2 km away from Dwarka City. The local explanation given for this distance is an old legend. They say, once Lord Krishna and his wife Rukmini went to the sage Durvasha to invite him for dinner at Dwarka. He agreed on the condition that Krishna & Rukmini would have to pull his chariot instead of any animal. The couple happily obliged. While pulling the chariot, Rukmini became thirsty so Lord Krishna prodded his toe into the earth to draw a spring of the holy Ganga water. Rukmini took a sip without offering Durvasha. Annoyed by her impoliteness he cursed Rukmini that she would be separated from her beloved husband. Hence Rukmini temple is located 2 kms away from Dwarka's Jagat Mandir.
  • Nageshwar Jyotirlinga -The revered site is home to one of the 12 jyotirlingas in India. The red building lies at a short distance from the town. Legend goes that it was here that a demon called Daaruka imprisoned a Shiva devotee called Supriya. The chants of ‘Om Namaha Shivay’ by Supriya invoked Lord Shiva who arrived here and vanquished the demon. A self-manifested Shivalinga appeared here and is prayed to this date.
  • Somnath Jyotirlinga - The intricately carved honey-coloured Somnath temple on the western edge of the state is believed to be the place where the first of the twelve holy jyotirlingas emerged in India – a spot where Shiva appeared as a fiery column of light. The temples lies at the meeting of Kapila, Hiran and Sarasvati rivers and the waves of the Arabian Sea ebb and flow touching the shore on which it is constructed. The ancient temple’s timeline can be traced from 649 BC but is believed to be older than that. The present form was reconstructed in 1951.
  • Bhalka Tirtha, located near Veraval about 3 kms from Famous Somnath Lord Shiva Jyotirlinga Temple, Bhalka Tirth is The spot where Lord Krishna was mistaken for a deer and hit by an arrow by a hunter named Jara while sleeping in a deerskin. It is said Lord Krishna was cremated at Dehotsarga at Triveni Ghat.  after which he is said to have left the earth for the heavenly abode, an act referred to in the Puranas as Shri Krishn Neejdham Prasthan Leela.
