Kevadia: Statue of Unity- the world’s tallest statue has been built as an ode to the Iron Man of India, SardarVallabhbhai Patel, the first home minister of independent India. The 182-metre (600 feet aprox.) statue overlooks the vast surrounds and the river basin of the Narmada River and the sprawling SardarSarovar dam.

Bhavnagar: NishkalankMahadev Temple is a Hindu temple located at Koliyak near Bhavnagar, Gujarat. Situated in Koliyak Beach, it is one of the rarest sea temples in India you must include in your Gujarat trip and among the most visited places of pilgrimage in Bhavnagar. Located about a kilometer into the sea, the temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. This temple is submerged during high tides in the sea and emerges during low tides to reveal itself majestically, promising its devotees to wash away all sins. During the high tide, the idol of the lord is submerged and all that can be seen are the flag and a pillar.

Somnath: The Somnath temple located in Veraval in Saurashtra on the western coast of Gujarat, India is believed to be the first among the twelve Jyotirlinga shrines of Shiva. It is an important pilgrimage and tourist spot of Gujarat.

Porbandar: Porbandar is a city in the Indian state of Gujarat, perhaps best known for being the birthplace of Mahatma Gandhi and Sudama. Places to visit includes KritiMandir s memorial house in memory of Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi and Kasturba Gandhi located in the city of Porbandar. The Sudama temple stands in the middle of the bustling market area of Porbandar. The temple has been built to commemorate the friendship between Lord Krishna and his trusted friend, Sudama. 

Dwarka: Dwarka is an ancient city in the northwestern Indian state of Gujarat. The ancient Dwarkadhish Temple has an elaborately tiered main shrine, a carved entrance and a black-marble idol of Lord Krishna. The pilgrimage to Dwarka is said to be complete if the following circuit is covered in the given order. (i) Dwarkadish Temple, Nageshwer Temple (another Jyotirling), GopiTalav, Bet Dwarka and finally Rukmini Mata Mandir.

Ahmedabad: Situated in the heart of Gujarat, Ahmedabad District is home to the city of Ahmedabad which is the largest city in the state. Sabarmati Ahsram- Inaugurated by his contemporary Jawaharlal Nehru, Mahatma Gandhi’s erstwhile home has been converted to a simple but engaging museum.  The Akshardham Temple at Ahmedabad is beauty par excellence with intricately carved stone structure that stands amid sprawling gardens set in a 23-acre plot. It is built in 6000 tonnes of pink sandstone and not a bit of steel has been used.
