Description: Madurai known as the 'Athens of the East' is the oldest city in Tamil Nadu and was home to the ancient Tamil Sangam, the literary conclave that produced the first epic, Silappathikaram. Today, it is known to produce the best harvests of Jasmine flowers. The main attraction, “Madurai Meenakshi” Temple, is well known for its architectural splendor, as also a shelter, which inspired a thousand arts.

Rameswaram is known for India's most venerated and visited “Jyothirling” - Shiva shrines, dedicated to Sri Ramanathaswamy. It is so intimately associated with the life of Sri Rama, the hero of the epic Ramayana, that both Saivites and Vaishnavites consider every grain of Rameswaram’s sand very sacred. There is a traditional belief among the Hindus that a pilgrimage to Kashi will be complete only after a visit to Rameswararn, also hailed as "Benaras of the South".

Day 01: (Friday)

Departure from Chennai Egmore by Train No. 20627 Vande Bharat Exp. at 05.00 hrs. Arrival at Madurai Railway Station at 10.38 hrs. Check in to the hotel at Madurai. Visit Thirumalai Nayakar Mahal and Meenakshi Amman Temple (subject to temple timings), Gandhi Museum (partly under renovation). Overnight stay at Madurai.

Day 02: (Saturday)

After breakfast check out from the hotel and proceed to Rameswaram by road. Visit Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Memorial, Ramar padam Temple, Five-faced Hanuman Temple and Dhanushkodi. Back to hotel and overnight stay at Rameswaram.

Day 03: (Sunday)

Early morning take a holy bath in Agni Theertham, situated at the seashore, where pilgrims believe that Lord Rama washed away his sins and have darshan of Lord Shiva “Jyothirling” in Ramanathaswamy Temple. After breakfast check out from hotel, proceed to Madurai and drop at Madurai Railway Station at 14:00 hrs to board Train No. 20628 Vande Bharat Exp. at 17.05 hrs. Arrive Chennai Egmore at 23:05 hrs.

Frequency/Tour Dates:

From Chennai Egmore at 05.00 hrs by Train 20627 Vande Bharat Express (Every Friday)."Online tickets will be generated and issued 4 days prior to the departure. Seat preferences/changes shall not be entertained, as the tickets generation is through centralized PRS. Tourists are requested to travel as per the seats allotment".

All sightseeing places are subject to time availability and schedule running of trains. IRCTC shall not be held responsible for the train delay.
The visit to the sightseeing places is subject to weather & road conditions.
Opening of National Parks or Wild Life Sanctuaries are subject to the discretion of the Forest Dept.
IRCTC will not be responsible for any Natural or Other calamities.
The itinerary of the package is indicative only and handling agency reserves the right to change itinerary during operation of the tour due to local circumstances.

Final confirmation in the proposed hotels is subject to the availability at the time of booking, else similar category hotel will be provided.
Type of the road vehicle will be decided as per the group size.
Most of the hotels provide twin bedroom, double bedroom is subject to availability. Wherever extra bed has been stated it means only rollaway bed.
Early check-in and late check-out are subject to the availability. Mostly hotels observe 1300 to 1500 check-in time and check-out time is normally 1000 to 1100 hrs.
Heart & blood pressure patients, pregnant women, persons suffering from physical problems, senior citizens etc need to be cautious while traveling and should be accompanied by someone.

Tripozo or its partner is not liable for missing of one or more services as per the itinerary due to late running of trains. Tourists should strictly adhere to the timings failing which Tripozo or its partner will not be liable for missing of any service including darshan and return train. If the tourists miss the bus arranged by Tripozo or its partner at any place, they should reach the next place of the itinerary on their own.
Tourists should take care of their personal belongings and luggage. Tripozo or its partner is not liable for losses or thefts.
In case of cancellation of Darshan in situations beyond the control of Tripozo or its partner including peak rush during festivals refund will be made only for the services missed. No refund will be made in case of skipping of any service including darshan voluntarily by the tourist. No refund will be made in case of missing of any service including darshan due to the negligence of tourists.
Check-in and Check Out time in hotels is 12 noon. Although we take due care that check-in is provided early and late check out is permitted, under unavoidable circumstances, check in/check out may have to be maintained as per Hotel Policy.
Tripozo or its partner reserves the right to cancel the Tour Programme at any point of time arising out of various exigencies beyond its control. In such an event, maximum liability of Tripozo or its partner shall be limited to the Package Amount paid by the guest.
The package price is as on date of booking. However, in case of increase in input costs such as railway fare or any other expenses beyond the control of Tripozo or its partner, the guests are liable to pay the additional amount before commencement of journey.
Tripozo or its partner reserves the right to change the itinerary due to unavoidable circumstances, including but not limited to, bad weather, train delays/cancellations etc. Under such circumstances, Tripozo or its partner shall make best alternative arrangements guest are liable to pay any additional costs for making such arrangements. Tripozo or its partner shall not be responsible for any loss of sight-seeing, visits to planned sites in the itinerary.
Tripozo or its partner doesn't guarantee Darshan at the shrines/places of interest/monuments mentioned in the itinerary.
It is mandatory to carry the identity proof provided by the client at the time of booking. The other passengers travelling also need to carry a valid photo id card during the package tour. The valid Photo ID Card are Aadhaar, Voter id card, Passport, Driving Licence, PAN Card, Credit Cards with Photo, Cards issued by Central/State Government and Student ID cards with photo issued by School/College for their students.
Please carry Post-paid mobile phones as pre-paid mobiles do not function in remote locations near borders.
While in hotel, please follow house rules. If you wish to use the swimming pool, please carry your own swimming costumes.
Tour is subject to operation in case minimum booking of 2 passengers on twin/single fare is received.
While we take due care in keeping the information on these pages updated, train timings, hotel rules, opening & closing hours at monuments/museums/parks/gardens/shrines and sites mentioned in the itinerary etc. may change and may not be updated on the pages. Tripozo or its partner does not take any responsibility for such changes. There will be no refund for un- utilized services.
You will have to strictly follow the tour program. There would be no refund if you fail to join the group at the commencement of the tour, or join the group later or leave the group before culmination of the tour for any reasons whatsoever. Under no circumstances would any refund be given for any unutilized services. You shall not behave in a manner which may cause distress or annoyance to other co-travelers or which may create the risk of danger or damage to property of the Company, co- travelers or others. In this event, you may be asked to leave the tour immediately. The Company shall be under no liability to any such person.
